- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda

- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop dollops of dough onto a prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are still soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. This helps prevent spreading.
