A festive chocolate sheet cake rolled with whipped cream frosting, perfect for celebrating the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, mix eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine with dry ingredients.
  4. Pour batter into prepared sheet pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let cool and prepare frosting by whipping heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  6. Unroll cooled cake, spread frosting, re-roll, and frost the outside. Dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing. Let cake cool completely before frosting.
