Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine with dry ingredients.
- Pour batter into prepared sheet pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool and prepare frosting by whipping heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Unroll cooled cake, spread frosting, re-roll, and frost the outside. Dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing. Let cake cool completely before frosting.
