Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate for filling (dark, milk, or white)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the sifted flour and cocoa powder, mixing just until combined.
- Roll the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Create an indentation in the center of each ball.
- Fill the indents with chocolate ganache or jam.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are set.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Serve and enjoy!
