Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh mushrooms (cremini or button), chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
- Pita chips or veggies for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the olive oil or butter. Add chopped mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until soft and golden. Season with salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sautéed mushrooms with softened cream cheese, minced garlic, and half of the grated Parmesan. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in chopped parsley or herbs of your choice.
- Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and top with remaining Parmesan and extra herbs. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving with pita chips or veggies.
Notes
For a lighter dip, substitute cream cheese with Greek yogurt. Experiment with different cheeses or add spinach for variation.
