Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well-combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sugar and vegetable oil until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, followed by buttermilk and vanilla extract. Stir in red food coloring until vibrant.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Using a piping bag or spoon, dollop tablespoon-sized amounts of batter onto the prepared sheets, leaving space for them to spread.
  6. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cakes spring back lightly when touched. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until fluffy and smooth.
