Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan, then stir in the sugars until combined.
- Remove from heat and cool slightly, then mix in the eggs and vanilla.
- Sift in the cocoa powder and flour, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the red food coloring until the batter is even.
- In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan, add dollops of cream cheese mixture, then top with remaining brownie batter and swirl gently.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until edges are set. Cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
Sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving for an added flavor enhancement.
