Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips or bars
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Baking Dish: Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: In a saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, butter, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add Flavorings: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, salt, and half of the crushed peppermint candies.
  4. Pour and Spread: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Top with Peppermint: Sprinkle the remaining crushed peppermint on top and gently press down.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes until set.
  7. Cut and Serve: Lift the fudge out of the dish and cut into squares.
  8. Store Properly: Keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge.
