Delicious pastry bombs filled with juicy beef, crispy bacon, and gooey cheese, perfect for gatherings and family dinners.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 6-8 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or puff pastry
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Melted butter, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside. In the same skillet, brown the ground beef and drain fat.
  3. Add onions and garlic; cook until translucent (3-5 minutes). Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Combine the bacon with the beef mixture, and add shredded cheese.
  5. If using biscuit dough: Place each round on the prepared baking sheet, flatten slightly, and place filling in the center. Fold and pinch to seal.
  6. If using puff pastry: Roll it out, cut into squares, place filling, and fold diagonally, pressing edges to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with melted butter or egg wash.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup or spicy aioli. These can also be made ahead and frozen for later use.
