Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- Coarse sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract, beating until fully combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to your wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the caramel sauce.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets, leaving space between dough balls. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over cookies as soon as they come out of the oven. Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For added texture, consider incorporating chocolate chips or nuts into the dough.
