Delicious walnut cookies that blend nutty flavors and a touch of sweetness, perfect for sharing with family.

  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the wet mixture.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped walnuts.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
  9. Remove from oven, cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a nut-free version, substitute walnuts with sunflower seeds or oats. You can also chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for enhanced flavor.
