Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips or nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, stirring until the batter is mixed well.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Cut into squares to serve.
