Ingredients
- 4 crisp apples (like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 2 cups pre-made caramel bits
- 1 pinch sea salt
- Optional toppings: chopped nuts, sprinkles, or melted chocolate
Instructions
- Wash and dry your apples. Cut them into bite-sized chunks.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the caramel bits in 30-second intervals until fully melted, stirring frequently.
- Using a fork or toothpick, dip each apple chunk into the melted caramel, allowing excess to drip off.
- Sprinkle a touch of sea salt onto the caramel-coated apple bites.
- Place the dipped apple bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let them cool for about 15–20 minutes until the caramel hardens.
- Optionally, roll the caramel bites in chopped nuts or drizzle with melted chocolate before caramel sets.
- Serve fresh or store in an airtight container for a day.
Notes
Ensure your caramel is at a proper temperature to avoid mushy apples. Use crisp apples for best results.
