Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Green onions or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with soy sauce, black pepper, and minced garlic. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chopped bell peppers and sauté for about 2 minutes until softened. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add more oil if needed. Cook marinated chicken until golden brown and fully cooked, around 5-7 minutes.
- Add sautéed vegetables back into the skillet, drizzle with remaining soy sauce, and stir to combine. Cook for another minute.
- Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired and serve.
Notes
For extra heat, consider adding red pepper flakes or fresh chili peppers. For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with tofu or tempeh.
