Instructions
- Let the butter sit at room temperature until softened, about 30 minutes.
- Beat the butter in a mixing bowl with a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium speed until creamy and light in color, about 2 minutes.
- Slowly pour in the maple syrup while mixing on low speed to avoid splattering.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing thoroughly between each addition until combined.
- If the frosting is too thick, add milk or cream 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
