Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel candy (cut into small pieces)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this mixture into the wet ingredients.
  5. Take a tablespoon of dough and flatten it in your palm. Place a caramel piece in the center, wrap the dough around it, and roll it into a ball.
  6. Arrange cookie balls on a lined baking sheet, about 2 inches apart, and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
