Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup Nutella
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda, then gradually add this to the butter mixture until just blended.
- Gently fold the Nutella into the cookie dough until you achieve swirls.
- Using a cookie scoop, portion out the dough onto your prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges look set but the centers remain soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For best results, let the butter sit at room temperature before creaming, and consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
