Deliciously fluffy, buttery cinnamon rolls topped with velvety cream cheese frosting, perfect for any gathering.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ½ cup Butter (melted)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Brown sugar (packed)
  • 8 oz Cream cheese (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Yeast Mixture: Warm the milk until lukewarm and stir in the active dry yeast. Let it sit for about five minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: Whisk the eggs and melted butter into the yeast mixture in another bowl.
  4. Form the Dough: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until the dough pulls away from the sides. If too sticky, add more flour.
  5. Kneading: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until it doubles in size.
  7. Prepare the Filling: While the dough rises, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a bowl to create a paste.
  8. Roll Out the Dough: Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a large rectangle.
  9. Spread the Filling: Evenly spread the cinnamon filling over the rolled-out dough.
  10. Shape the Rolls: Starting from one edge, tightly roll the dough into a log and slice it into equal portions.
  11. Second Rise: Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for about 30 minutes.
  12. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and fluffy.
  13. Frosting: Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls.

Notes

Use fresh yeast for best results. Experiment with fillings by adding nuts or dried fruits.
