Ingredients

  • Fresh Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • Thick-cut Bacon or Turkey Bacon
  • Mixed Salad Greens or Baby Spinach
  • Sliced Almonds or Walnuts (optional)
  • Crumble Blue Cheese or Feta Cheese
  • Olive Oil
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather your fresh apples, bacon, greens, nuts, cheese, and dressing ingredients.
  2. In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and let cool on a paper towel.
  3. While the bacon cools, core and slice the apples thinly, tossing with lemon juice to prevent browning if desired.
  4. In a large bowl, add mixed greens, apple slices, nuts, and crumbled cheese.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
