- Fresh Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- Thick-cut Bacon or Turkey Bacon
- Mixed Salad Greens or Baby Spinach
- Sliced Almonds or Walnuts (optional)
- Crumble Blue Cheese or Feta Cheese
- Olive Oil
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Dijon Mustard
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Gather your fresh apples, bacon, greens, nuts, cheese, and dressing ingredients.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and let cool on a paper towel.
- While the bacon cools, core and slice the apples thinly, tossing with lemon juice to prevent browning if desired.
- In a large bowl, add mixed greens, apple slices, nuts, and crumbled cheese.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
- Crumble the crispy bacon on top just before serving.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
