Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Warm water (as needed)
- 1 cup pepperoni
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Olive oil (for brushing)
- Optional: Grated parmesan cheese for topping
Instructions
- If making dough from scratch, mix flour, yeast, and salt in a bowl. Gradually add warm water until a soft dough forms, then knead for 5 minutes and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- On a floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle, approximately 12×18 inches.
- Spread mozzarella over the dough, leaving a small border, then layer with pepperoni, garlic, and herbs.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log from the long side and pinch the edges to seal.
- Place the log seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with olive oil, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top before baking. Let the bread rest to enhance the flavors.
