Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Warm water (as needed)
  • 1 cup pepperoni
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Olive oil (for brushing)
  • Optional: Grated parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. If making dough from scratch, mix flour, yeast, and salt in a bowl. Gradually add warm water until a soft dough forms, then knead for 5 minutes and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. On a floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle, approximately 12×18 inches.
  4. Spread mozzarella over the dough, leaving a small border, then layer with pepperoni, garlic, and herbs.
  5. Roll the dough tightly into a log from the long side and pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Place the log seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with olive oil, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top before baking. Let the bread rest to enhance the flavors.
