  • Total Time: 75 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups fresh pecans
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crust by fitting it into your pie dish and poking the bottom with a fork.
  3. In a large bowl, combine corn syrup, sugars, and melted butter; whisk until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  5. Gently fold in the pecans until well mixed.
  6. Pour the pecan mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Cool on a wire rack for at least two hours before slicing.

Notes

Toast the pecans for an added depth of flavor, and ensure to cool the pie to allow it to set properly before slicing.
