- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups quick oats
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Melt & Mix: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa powder. Bring to a full rolling boil and cook for exactly 1 minute.
- Add the Good Stuff: Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth and fully combined.
- Fold in Oats: Add quick oats, stirring until everything is coated in chocolatey goodness.
- Shape the Cookies: Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax or parchment paper. Let cool at room temperature until set, about 20–30 minutes.
Notes
Use quick oats for a chewy texture. Allow cookies to cool adequately for perfect setting.
